Chicago, IL , 2016 The German American Cultural Center (DANK Haus) presents a vibrant International festival of art: Culture Bridge/Kulturbruecke,Feb.20. - March 19. 2016., a cultural bridge of musicians, painters, dancers, and sculptors from Germany, the United States and many countries around the globe.
Curated by Marianna Buchwald, International Art Group and Derin Baratka,Lincoln Square Artists Guild, the exhibit at the Scharpenberg Gallery at DANK Haus will feature a broad range of works with an intention to deepen cross-cultural ties.
The exhibition committee consists of Kao Ra Zen, Linda M. Platt, Martha Juarez, Daniel Guidara and Daniel Weinberg.
There will be a series of events that will entertain and stimulate thinking about how many cultures can create a dialog about what matters in the world of art, art making with Linda Platt for children and adults, artist talks and panel discussions, moderated by Prof. Talmadge Wright, Prof. Almira Gilles, Pala Townsend, Kao Ra Zen and Marianna Buchwald .The events will be in German and English.

ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery will be exhibiting at Contemporary Istanbul, the premium and largest art fair in Turkey that take place in Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Center (ICEC) and the Istanbul Congress Center. Bene Rialto, housed in a five-story pre-war building, brings an innovative marketplace to New York City, connecting visitors to independent fashion brands, food and art. ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery is excited about the partnership with Bene Rialto in this exhibition and bring Turkish art to one of the world’s most important cultural hubs – New York City.
Curated by ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery’s coordinator Sanel San, “Istanbul Breeze” is collection born out of the energy of Istanbul - a city at the center of East anee West and a cultural capital for centuries. The show presents artists who combine different styles, techniques, media and lifestyles, featuring Aslı Kutluay, Meral Değer, Dinçer Güngörür, Ayşegül Kırmızı, Dilek Aydincioglu,.Camekan, Nadia Arditti, Semra Ozumerzifon, and Derya Ozparlak.
"Istanbul Breeze" exhibition is a joint project between the Turkish Cultural Foundation, a U.S. public charitable organization which promotes and preserves Turkish art and culture, and ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery. The Istanbul Breeze exhibition can be enjoyed at Bene Rialto, on the fourth floor at 13 West 38th Street.
ARMAGGAN Art&Design Gallery, taking place at international contemporary art fair of the region and Turkey- Contemporary İstanbul-with a selection of 13 artists and designers’ pieces, has offered 30 artworks within the fair. The participant artists of the fair were Emre Özçaylan, Emre Kantaşlı, Şevket Arık, Güneş Özmen, Tan Taşpolatoğlu, Nevres Merve Kutlay, Aysun Bozuklu, Betül Cankara, Gönül Nuhoğlu, Şifa Girinci, Canan Ustaoğlu and designer Aykut Erol, Naif Design. The gallery booth which has attracted the collectors, curators and press members’ great attention, got full marks from the visitors through its style featuring the variety and online sales network.
The application and selection process for this year’s SOFA - Sculpture Objects and Functional Arts Exhibition has been finalized. ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery will be attending the SOFA Art & Design Fair between 06 - 09 November, featuring the following artists; Canan Ustaoğlu, Çetin Pireci, Gül Delemen, İpek Altunmaral, İpek Kotan, Meral Değer, Tan Taşpolatoğlu.
In collaboration with Art’I MEKAN Magazine; ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery, presented the group show, “Mevsim Yaz”, consisting the works of 17 artists to the arts audience in Bursa between September 10 – October 05.
Opened on Wednesday, September 10, in Bamboo Park, the exhibition consists of sculptures, paintings, glass and ceramic works by artists: Ali İbrahim Öcal, Camekan, Derya Özparlak, Ezgi Sandıkçı, Gönül Nuhoğlu, Gülfidan Özmen, Gülperin Sertdemir, Haluk Tatari, Hüseyin Rüstemoğlu, Meral Değer, Nejat Kavvas, Neşe Çoğal, Nilgün Sabar, Pembe Hilal Tüzüner, Sinem Kaya, Tan Mavitan and Tan Taşpolatoğlu.
In Bamboo Park, arts ateliers, workshops and talks were held; which include, a lecture on “Collecting in Art and Creating a Successful Collection”, “Astrology and The Subconscious in Art” by painter Neşe Çoğal, “Arts Workshop with Kids” by painter Hüseyin Rüstemoğlu, “A discussion on Glass Techniques and an Exhibition of Glass Sculptures” with Camekan and “Art Therapy Workshop” by painter Nilgün Sabar.
Open Call for SOFA Chicago Art + Design Fair as part of the ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery showcase.
The Sculpture Objects and Functional Art-SOFA Chicago fair will take place on November 7-9, 2014. SOFA is part of a prestigous line-up of art fairs, such as Art Basel, TEFAF Maastricht, and Urban Expositions organized by the same company since 1994 and has grown into one of the most significant fairs dedicated to 3-dimensional art. The fair, hosting the most prestigious galleries and artists of the field with exclusively designed booths and is visited by 35 thousand people every year.
Since 2012, ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery has partnered with the Turkish Cultural Foundation (TCF) to represent Turkish contemporary art at the fair. This year, along with the artists of ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery, a select number of artists will be chosen to participate in the showcase.
Artists who are interested in participating must send their CVs (in English and Turkish), portfolios, website information and high-resolution visuals and specifications of the works they wish to exhibit, to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to apply August 4, 2014. Applicants are to have no prior commitments and are expected to have no travel restrictions to attend the fair. Artists who are shortlisted by ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery in collaboration with TCF, will be contacted via e-mail.

ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery opens an exhibition for the first time at Nisantasi ARMAGGAN Store. The theme of the exhibiton is “Welcoming Spring”. Organized in collaboration with Nisantasi ARMAGGAN store the exhibition will be open between 20th of March and 30th of April. Three young sculptors, all with a different art style, interpreted Love in the medium of art. Exhibition was held between 14th of February to 28th of February, 2014 at Zorlu Performing Arts Centre.
"Melting the Borders"
ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery, established with the purpose of supporting young artists and designers, is questioning the parallelism between art and design, in the talk event organized in correspondence to 'Limitless Creativity' exhibition, with participation of Derin Sarıyer, Seçkin Pirim, Ali Bakova and Yiğit Yazıcı.
'Melting the Borders' panel discussion aims; to adress the permeability at the borders of art and design which blur more every day; to discuss the subject of interdiscipline through personal experiences of the creative who produce in different areas like in Renaissance; to examine the current definition and qualities of artist/designer and their production process.

After a successful exhibition at the 20th Sculpture Objects and Functional Art - SOFA Chicago Fair earlier this month, Turkish contemporary art will be on exhibit at the Hilton Asmus Contemporary Gallery in Chicago. The show titled "Istanbul Breeze" will bring together Aslı Kutluay, Ayşegül Kırmızı, Camekan, Derya Özparlak, Dilek Aydıncıoğlu, Dinçer Güngörür, Meral Değer, Nadia Arditti, Pembe Hilal Tüzüner, Semra Özümerzifon who participated in the ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery-TCF exhibition at SOFA with Chicago-based and Istanbul born artists Meltem Aktaş and Ani Afshar, as well as Turkish American artists Cetin Ates, Yasemin Aslan Bakiri and Belgin Yücelen, who have participated in the TCF-ARMAGGAN exhibition at SOFA Chicago in 2012.

Six Turkish modern artists, competitively selected by the Turkish Cultural Foundation (TCF) will have the opportunity to present their work at the TCF sponsored Turkish art display at the Sculpture Objects and Functional Art - SOFA Chicago fair on November 1 - 4, 2012. The curator of the booth is ARMAGGAN Art&Design Gallery.
This year's artists are Çetin Ateş, Adnan Doğan, İpek Kotan, Zeynep Torun, Ahmet Yazıcı and Belgin Yücelen.
SOFA is widely recognized as one of the world's leading fairs of contemporary art and design and is visited each year by tens of thousands of prospective buyers, gallery and museum representatives. The TCF showcase of Turkish art at SOFA reflects the Foundation's mission to expand international opportunities for Turkish artists, as well as promote the finest examples of Turkish modern art. This is the 6th year that TCF will be participating in SOFA and has been the only non-profit organization presenting at the fair. The TCF display at SOFA Chicago 2012 will be curated with Armaggan Art & Design Gallery.
